Summaries of Studies that Have Examined or Used the Bar-On Model

This part of the website is still being developed, but it will be up and fully functional shortly. I am in the process of summarizing hundreds of EI studies that have been conducted. Should you wish to share findings from a study that you have conducted with the EQ-i, EQ-360 or EQ-i:YV or if you have detailed information on studies that others have conducted, please use the template provided below for summarizing this study and send it to us. Eventually, this section will list summaries of studies, in chronological order, that have examined or used the Bar-On model. These summaries will focus on the following topics:

Templates for uploading contributors’ input into the website

You are invited to contribute to this section of the website. If you have conducted a research project or study with the EQ-i, EQ-360 or EQ-i:YV, you are invited to send us a summary of this work, which will be posted below with your permission. If you have a more detailed account, a copy of an article, chapter or an unpublished report that describes this project, please email it along with the summary; and if you would be willing for others to contact you about your findings, please advise where questions and comments may be emailed. The following are three basic templates that (i) students, (ii) researchers and (iii) practitioners are requested to use in summarizing studies that are submitted:

(i) Template for graduate students

Name of student, who is completing a masters/doctorate in name of subject at name of academic institute (country), studied the relationship between EI and name of behavior, performance or construct studied. He/She assessed the EI of number of males and number of females by having them complete the EQ-i/EQ-360/EQ-i:YV; and their name of behavior, performance or construct studied was rated/assessed by name of method or measure. He/She applied name of statistical application to the results, which revealed an overall correlation of .__. Those EI factors that proved to have the most powerful effect on name of behavior, performance or construct studied were name of 1st factor, name of 2nd factor and name of nth factor. For more information on this study, contact name of student at email address.

(ii) Template for researchers

Name of researcher, who is a researcher of name of subject affiliated with name of academic institution (country), studied the relationship between EI and name of behavior, performance or construct studied. For more information on this study, contact name of researcher at email address.

(iii) Template for practitioners

Name of practitioner, who is a/the position held at place of employment, studied the relationship between EI and name of behavior, performance or construct studied. The EQ-i/EQ-360/EQ-i:YV was used to assess the EI of number of males and number of females at name of organization where the project was run; and their name of behavior, performance or construct studied was rated/assessed by name of method or measure. He/She applied name of statistical application or mathematical function to the results, which revealed the general finding found. Those EI factors that proved to have the most powerful effect on name of behavior, performance or construct studied were name of 1st factor, name of 2nd factor and name of nth factor. For more information on this study, contact name of practitioner at email address.
